THE RECOVERY BUDDHA GROUP

Within the name Recovery Buddha, manifests our ‘Recovery Awakening’; the magnificence of self-awakening in recovery; realigning with our ‘Buddha nature’ - returning to the love and goodness that has always been within ourselves.

Our women’s Recovery Buddha Facebook group is a safe, closed community inclusive of all women in Recovery and those working towards it. Members of the group aim to provide connection, healing, and encourage each other to practice self-compassion & loving-kindness in our daily lives. In this safe space, we share what’s in our hearts, on our minds, our joys, our challenges, and individual gifts & messages. Surrounded by like-minded women, we are all here to connect, heal & love each other along our recovery journey. We honour all pathways to recovery and our message is “Through Connection We Heal”.

PENNI MOUSSA

 Founder of Recovery Buddha and woman in recovery, Penni Moussa is also a Clinical Psychologist, intuitive healer, writer, creative & mother of 3 young adults; the youngest of whom is on the Autism Spectrum. Having travelled a journey which includes recovery from addiction, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma & grief, Penni’s lived experience informs her work as a trauma therapist within the recovery community.

Interviewed on multiple international recovery podcasts in Canada, America, and the UK, Penni has been heard to be loud and proud about her recovery journey, even sharing her story as a guest speaker for the Exodus Foundation in Sydney, Australia. Her message is clear - hope, optimism, inspiration & courage.
